My name’s Harry and I am a 21-year-old University student from England, studying French and Spanish.
As part of my University course, I am spending the third year of my degree in a foreign country. I chose to look for a job in Spain, as I wanted to improve my Spanish language while also experiencing some of the Spanish culture. So, two weeks ago I packed up my car and drove from my home in England to Ayamonte, a small town on the Southern Coast of Spain in the region of Andalucia. It’s probably the closest you can get to Portugal without actually crossing the border!
I’m here to teach English in Escuela Atenea to a variety of students for 9 months. I’m just about to finish my first week of teaching and, so far, everything is going great. I’ve settled into the school really well and I’m making the most of the beautiful weather here: a huge improvement on England!
